Soho Hotel, London
Warehouse style windows and expansive rooms lie behind a red-brick façade with an industrial personality. The first deluxe hotel in the bustling borough of London’s Soho neighbourhood was created on the site of a former multi-story car park. The Soho Hotel was built from scratch, yet still respects the original structure's red-brick heritage.
Contemporary art in its many forms embellishes the interiors, while funky furnishings and natural materials create elegant, playful spaces. Firmdale Hotels owner and designer Kit Kemp does not approach design with a fixed idea in her mind, but rather creates her look hands-on through mixing, matching, and experimentation.
